ENACT understands that children learn best when their social and emotional needs are met. Since 1987, ENACT has delivered trauma-informed, transformative programs through drama therapy and creative drama techniques. Now in its 10th year, Show UP! is a window into the real life challenges that students face on a daily basis such as bullying, peer pressure, emotional turmoil and violence. In today’s new world, students are also concerned with larger issues of immigration and family insecurities. Show UP! is an original dramatic work that explores the outer conflicts as well as the inner struggles of students as they work to overcome obstacles to simply staying in school. The show is a culmination of a year’s worth of working with students in the schools, helping them find solutions to navigating the complex issues that cause students to drop out. It is a celebration of the resiliency of students and the many ways they show up in their lives every day.

We'll have a booth set up and will be excited to hear your thoughts about restorative justice in schools...and just any education issue on your minds. Join us on Oct. 26 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at Regina's Cajun Kitchen, 60 North Main. This event is sponsored by the Memphis Urban League, Memphis Urban League Young Professionals, Profound Gentlemen, and The Dividend. It is made possible by the Tennessee Educational Equity Coalition.
