The annual Michael Cohen Lecture at IUPUI this year will focus on “meaning and motivation” in education. It will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. at IUPUI Campus Center, Room 405. Panelist include Tiffany Kyser, the assistant director of technical assistance for the Great Lakes Equity Center, Parent Power Indianapolis co-founder Delana Stardust Ivy, Education Director for the city of Indianapolis Ahmed Young, IUPUI's Executive Associate Dean Robin Hughes and George Davis, who teaches fifth and sixth grade. They will explore questions about what is required for a universal public education in the 21st Century, including how to make schools healthy environments and how accountability should work.
