If you are a middle school family or school counselor/leader anticipating public high school results, this webinar is for you. In this webinar, you will learn about: What can I expect when results are issued? What are my options if I'm not happy, and how can I get help? What is Round 2? How do appeals work? How can I best prepare for the day I receive results? Presenter: Maurice Frumkin is President of NYC Admissions Solutions and former Deputy Executive Director of High School Admissions with the NYC Department of Education (DOE). Maurice has counseled hundreds of families on the HS admissions process, and while with the DOE he supervised the SHSAT administration and trained and supported dozens of school counselors throughout NYC on all aspects of the HS admissions process. Maurice is a frequent lecturer at schools and PTA meetings across the city. NYC Admissions Solutions helps families and schools navigate K-college public and private school admissions. Office Hours are an informal time to meet with Chalkbeat reporters, learn about what we do, and bring us your feedback and story ideas. In October's rendition of office hours, we're linking up with the official launch of the Memphis Restorative Justice Coalition. We'll have a booth set up and will be excited to hear your thoughts about restorative justice in schools...and just any education issue on your minds. Join us on Oct. 26 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at Regina's Cajun Kitchen, 60 North Main. This event is sponsored by the Memphis Urban League, Memphis Urban League Young Professionals, Profound Gentlemen, and The Dividend. It is made possible by the Tennessee Educational Equity Coalition.
