City students win Horatio Alger scholarships

We just got a press release alerting us to 25 New York State winners of the Horatio Alger Scholarship from the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. Winners — who have demonstrated dedication to education and overcome obstacles — will get $5,000 to put toward college and support while they’re there.

The 11 winners from city public schools are
