Curious how new pre-K seats at public schools map out across the city? Here’s a guide released by the department in map and list form.
Parents who have already applied for pre-K seats in public schools will find out by June 5 where, if anywhere, on that map their child will land. Parents whose children aren’t placed, or who did not apply for public school spots, can still apply for seats in community-based early childhood learning centers.
Applications are still open for 15,000 of the new, full-day seats that will open at community-based centers in September, many of which are also listed in the guide. The department said today that it will announce the locations of 10,000 more seats on Friday, May 30 and open applications for those seats the same day.
