Chalkbeat New York celebrated the end of the school year with more than 100 education advocates, teachers, parents and friends at our end-of-school happy hour Tuesday night.

The night included a first look at our upcoming series based on months of reporting inside a Brooklyn high school that is part of the city’s new program to improve struggling schools. Attendees watched a video highlighting students from Brooklyn Generation School and met two of the students featured prominently in the series after a short Q&A with Chalkbeat senior reporter Patrick Wall.

Visit Chalkbeat on Monday for part one of our series on Brooklyn Generation School.
