Teachers: Let Chalkbeat know how the Supreme Court decision in Janus will affect you

The United Federation of Teachers is bracing for the fallout of Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling that scraps mandatory dues payments from members who opt out of their union.

The decision is expected to dramatically drain unions of members, and the dues that have helped fuel their political clout.

We want to hear from New York City teachers to learn how they think the decision will affect them. If you already opt out of the union, we want to know why. And if you’re sticking with the UFT, we want to hear from you, too.

Fill out our survey below, and we may use your responses in our ongoing coverage.
