IPS, state watching low scoring schools
Last week Chalkbeat wrote about 11 schools, called “priority schools” by IPS, have been identified by Superintendent Lewis Ferebee as the most troubled because they have been rated an F two consecutive years or because their test scores have trended downward. Each will receive intensive intervention and monitoring from the district. But those are not the only schools the district wants to take a closer look at. Ferebee’s team has two other categories of schools it is tracking: focus schools and state priority schools.
