UPDATE, March 18: Gov. Jared Polis ordered all Colorado schools to close at least until April 17.
Dozens of Colorado school districts have made the decision to close for several weeks in an effort to slow the spread of the new coronavirus. Collectively, they serve more than 95% of all Colorado students.
We have a full list of Colorado school closures below.
Many districts were about to go on spring break, and the closure dates represent an extended spring break. The dates reflect the time period that schools will be closed to students. In many cases, staff may return earlier.
However, all of these dates depend on the progress of the pandemic and advice from public health authorities.
