The School Reform Commission will consider the renewal of 14 charter schools at a special SRC meeting scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Among the schools, two have been recommended for non-renewal: Delaware Valley Charter High School and Universal Bluford Charter School, which would be the first Renaissance turnaround school to face non-renewal.

After a presentation from a District charter office staffer, who will outline each of the proposed actions, public speakers will be given time to comment. Then the SRC will vote on each of the proposed renewals and non-renewals.

A vote for non-renewal starts a process that can take multiple years.
