Spend an interactive evening reimagining high school with Tony Wagner, author of Creating Innovators, Scott Barry Kaufman, author of Ungifted: Intelligence Redefined, Tim Shriver, Chairman of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, and NYC high school students to take action on two design challenges.
One: How might we redesign the school day to unleash every student’s innate greatness?
Two: How might we redefine standards and success in all American high schools by 2020?When you get to the event, you will choose to be part of one of eight vision groups to address the challenges from, facilitated by our partners. The groups range from making as learning with The Beam Center to data-driven decisions in education with Blue Engine, from imaginative play in learning with Mozilla Foundation to innovative school leadership with The NYC Lab School. First come, first serve. With plenty of divergent thinking surprises, snacks, and books for sale throughout the evening.
