Data and Graphics Reporter

Cam Rodriguez is a Data and Graphics Reporter on Chalkbeat’s data visuals team. Before coming to Chalkbeat, she was a freelance reporter and a Dow Jones News Fund data intern with USA TODAY’s national data team, using spatial data to visualize historical disparity and how neighborhoods change over time. She is a recent graduate of DePaul University’s journalism and geography programs, where she is working toward her Masters in data journalism, and is the managing editor at DePaul’s award-winning student magazine, 14 East. Cam has also reported as an intern and production assistant at WTTW, Chicago’s PBS station, was a ElectionsSOS Fellow with the Detroit Free Press in 2020, and researched housing policy at DePaul’s Institute for Housing Studies.
