Social Media Strategist
Susan Gonzalez is the Social Media Strategist at Chalkbeat. She previously worked as a digital producer on the E.W. Scripps Company’s national news team and as a digital strategist at The Denver Post. Before moving over to the newspaper’s digital team, Gonzalez was an editor for the hyperlocal section of the Post known as YourHub. She also previously served as the digital editor for the Aurora Sentinel and was an intern for Chalkbeat’s Colorado bureau in 2015. She is active with the Online News Association and serves as a co-organizer for ONA Rocky Mountain. She was awarded the Google News Initiative Local Community Leader Scholarship in 2019 through ONA.
